Ensuring equal access to quality healthcare services for every citizen, regardless of their geographical location, stands as a core pillar of Dextera's mission. In this context, on Thursday, July 30th, 2026, members of the team visited the Multipurpose Regional Medical Center in the village of Roupakia - located approximately one hour from the city of Patras - to actively support a significant initiative by the Outreach Health Teams (K.OM.Y.).
During the initiative, the medical examination of local beneficiaries was conducted by Dr. Tsironis, an EDIT (Greek National Telemedicine Network) physician trained and certified by Dextera, leveraging the full capabilities of advanced telemedicine equipment. Through this digital ecosystem, a direct real-time connection was established between the regional medical center of Roupakia and the Advisory Physician Station (ΣΤΙΣ) at the Patras General Hospital "Agios Andreas".
This interconnection enabled eight tele-consultations for patients requiring specialized cardiology and pulmonology follow-ups, delivering reliable diagnostic care right in their home community.
The success of the initiative was built on thorough team preparation and the on-site support of the nursing staff from the Outreach Health Teams (K.OM.Y.) - also trained by Dextera - who played a vital role during the patient examinations.
This initiative once again highlights the power of digital health solutions when paired with proper training and human-centered care. Dextera remains dedicated to designing, supporting, and implementing projects that bridge distances, modernize the healthcare system, and meaningfully improve people's daily lives.
