Smart CY is a flagship national initiative led by the Deputy Ministry of Research, Innovation & Digital Policy in partnership with CYTA.
Dextera contributes as part of the project management team, ensuring that the Smart CY platform meets technical, functional, and interoperability requirements.
The platform connects municipalities across Cyprus, enabling real-time data exchange and integration of core smart applications — including smart lighting, parking, and waste management — under a single unified infrastructure.
In its first phase (2025–2026), Smart CY focuses on these three vertical solutions and a Citizen App to enhance engagement and service delivery.
With a ten-year expansion plan (through 2036), this initiative positions Cyprus among Europe’s most digitally advanced nations.
